AC/USB-C Power System Upgrade for Respond! 2.0 Desks

The Respond! 2.0 AC/USB-C Power System Upgrade powers all your computing equipment by adding two USB-C ports, one AC receptacle, and three additional AC receptacles beneath the desktop. A cable tray is also included for installation below the desktop to help manage excess cords from your devices.

A convenient pathway that allows you to connect power cords from two monitors to the receptacles located beneath the desktop. 

With this upgrade, you have four USB-C receptacles—two on the desktop and two on your C-Power battery pack. The system can handle up to 200W combined from various devices.

When should you specify the AC/USB-C power system?

• When your users have older equipment incapable of being powered with USB-C connections.
• When your office is a flexible workspace co-working facility where desks are not assigned to specific users.
• When you have a single device that uses more than 70W. These necessarily require AC power given the present limits of our USB-C power delivery.

If the workstation's operation is critical during a power outage, you can add an AC input cord to the desk. The input can connect to an AC wall outlet or a fault-managed power receiver with AC output. When the power goes out, the desk's electrical system automatically switches from AC to DC battery power, serving as a point-of-use UPS system.

The electrical configuration could also be configured into another form factor, not necessarily a desk. For example, you could keep a Wi-Fi router operating during a power outage or install it into a security lighting system. Contact us for more information.
